What inspires me to be a journal editor:
I am dedicated to the association that owns the journal, and I want to contribute to the success of the organization.

Most influential book I have read:
I have read so many wonderful and inspiring books, but And the Band Played On: Politics, People, and the AIDS Epidemic by Randy Schiltz and The Coming Plague: Newly Emerging Diseases in a World Out of Balance by Laurie Garrett were important for the work I do.

Most influential nursing book I have read:
From Novice to Expert: Excellence and Power in Clinical Nursing Practice by Patricia Benner

One tip or trick that makes my editor role easier:
I hired an amazing managing editor. She makes sure that things get done. I depend on her for a lot of things, and I trust her.

My favorite vacation destination:
Anywhere on the back of a motorcycle

My best advice to novice editors:
Join INANE and ask questions.
